“Smart Station Project” was taken into effect in Fiat Automobile Plant’s Assembly Unit with 4 stations. Scope of the project involves managing the actions done during the assembly process by Smart Stations and allowing the data to be monitored live from the production area.

In operations run by Smart Stations, two different plants are controlled over stations’ digital I/Os, one battery-powered tightener is controlled over radio frequencies and one electronic tightener is controlled over the serial port. In case of an anomaly during the operation, operators can report via pre-defined error states using the touchscreen on Smart Stations. This provides a crucial foundation on analyzing problems and planning improvements.

Orders are placed to apply project to all assembly lines and production is currently undergoing.
